Two weeks ago I was at a workshop by a woman from Austria. She has spent 20 years studying ways to manifest financial abundance. Now she gave an overview with the 7 best tips.
After the workshop I went out for dinner with some Spaniards. Then I walked to the car. And suddenly I thought: “This week I want to achieve x number of sales.” The phrase and amount were completely unexpected and fairly arbitrary, but it felt right, so I took them to bed.
The next day I sent a blog, in which I made an offer for up to 3 women to work live and 1-on-1 with me in Tarifa. Ten minutes later, a nice woman sent an email. An hour later we had a conversation. Two hours later we settled on a price. It was exactly the amount I had come up with the night before.
Ellen is once again in Wonderland. It's not strange that my book is called "Ellen in Wonderland." I have already manifested many miraculous things, especially at the moments when I really needed it. Car mechanics in Spain, Budapest and France. Caravans, houses, a houseboat, and now the perfect place in Tarifa.
In fact, my friends already trust in my powers of manifestation. When I call in a panic that I have a really urgent problem, most of them shrug their shoulders. “Ah. We know you by now. Something is bound to come your way.”
This is the most important lesson I take away from the workshop, which I have been applying unconsciously for a long time. First, you need to know what you want, why you want it, and who will benefit from it.
That sounds easy, but it isn't. I know a lot of people I can wake up in the middle of the night asking, "What is your greatest desire?" and who have an answer to that. I also know a lot of people who have no idea.
The world is populated by people who drift through life without ever having a clear idea of who they are and what they want. They roll into something, and often continue to do so for too long. It often takes a crisis (divorce, dismissal, illness) to make people aware that they have a choice to live their own lives.
Why is it that so few people know what they want? That is the second lesson from the workshop, which I turn around 180 degrees. As Helene puts it: if you have a wish, and there is an obstacle, you must first do the inner work to clear the obstacle before you can make the wish come true.
So how do you find out what you want? To find the answer to that, I formulate it exactly the other way around. In my vision, your greatest desire is hidden behind your greatest dragon. Your dragons are your best pointers to your desire. If they are on the road, you have to pay close attention. They show you the way.
However, the natural reaction when you see dragons is to run in the other direction. I think that’s a shame. Because if you do, you will never get to the castle that lies hidden behind the dragon's back, containing your treasure: a clear insight into who you are, and what your desires are. Your soul mission even. Preferably with an action plan. But then you have to dare to make the journey inwards, past your dragons.
Wonderland didn't come to me naturally. I've looked a lot of dragons in the eye because I have quite a few, and I found the journey tough at times. However, it's worth it. Even though I'm not a millionaire (at least not yet ;-)), I know who I am, I know what I have to do in this life, and I'm open to any form in which that desire may become reality. Strategy and intuition, purposefulness and curiosity, masculinity and femininity, all in good cooperation.
This is where the magic begins, and wealth, in whatever form. This is the ultimate freedom. I consider myself lucky that I still find this freedom every day.
